Henno Arrak is a well-recognized graphic arts artist, whose 1960s-70s style was vigorously plastic. The contrasting light shadow concept was expressed intensively, but at the same time, as a romantic visual reality. He practiced both high-printing and deep-printing techniques (have made about 200 works). Henno Arrak was characterized by a thorough, dense, and finished engraving. This thoroughness also characterized him as a book designer (about 150 books were designed). However, the international recognition came from designing the wood engraving ex libris (made over 300 works).
